Know Your Skin Type

OILY SKIN

Are you struggling with enlarged pores?
Is your complexion shiny and skin uneven?
Are you constantly battling blackheads, pimples and blemishes?

Oiliness can vary, depending on the time of year and the weather conditions. High levels of stress, spicy food and exposure to heat and humidity can greatly aggravate the levels of oil your skin exudes.

Take care of oily skin by washing your skin twice a day with a gentle cleanser, use products that don’t clog your pores and make sure not to pop, pick or squeeze pimples and zits.

DRY SKIN

Does your skin feel tight throughout the day, especially after bathing? Do you find flakes of skin on your clothes?
Is your skin itchy and irritable?

In most cases, dry skin can be rectified with changes to your lifestyle, since most dry skin results from environmental factors that more often than not, can be controlled. These include being exposed to hot or cold water, levels of humidity and excessive bathing.

Other factors include weather (your skin is driest in the winter), central air conditioning (reduces humidity that dries out the skin), hot baths or showers, harsh soaps & detergents and sun exposure.

You can treat dry skin with the rich formula of NIVEA Smooth Milk. Enriched with Hydra IQ and Shea Butter, this lotion nourishes your skin layer by layer, leaving it smooth and supple.

COMBINATION SKIN

A Combination skin type tends to be dry-normal in certain areas of the face and oily in others, most likely the nose, forehead and chin area, also known as the T-Zone. Combination skin can produce overly dilated pores & blackheads, and make your skin appear shiny.

Treat Combination skin to Normal skin by using a sunscreen that blocks UVA and UVB rays, avoid direct sunlight, stay away from smoking, stay hydrated, wash your skin thoroughly, always remove your makeup before bedtime, and generously moisturise your skin.
